<Information on Sediment Disaster>
●Sediment Disaster Alart Area and Sediment Disaster Special Alert Area are "Sediment Disaster Alert Area" based on the Sediment Disaster Prevention Measures Act (commonly known as the Sediment Disaster Alert Act), this area is designated by Osaka Prefecture as an area where residents may be harmed in the event of landslides or debris flows.
<Information on Floods>
●The estimated inundation area is the one indicated by Osaka Prefecture as the estimated depth of water that would be inundated by the maximum possible rainfall designated in accordance with the Flood Prevention Law for the known water level section of each river.
●Flooding due to inland water overflowing from ditches and waterways or exceeding rainfall assumed in the simulation are not taken into account, so inundation may occur in areas not colored in this estimated flood inundation area, or the estimated depth may differ from the actual one.
●For flooding of each river, the areas outside the city that is expected to be inundated is also indicated.
<Information on Earthquake>
●The seismic intensity and land liquefaction distribution based on the latest scientific knowledge are color-coded to indicate the possibility of an earthquake for FY2013 Nankai Trough Mega Earthquake Disaster Countermeasures Study Subcommittee materials and the March 2007 Osaka Prefecture Natural Disaster Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Measures Study (Earthquake Damage Assumption)Report. It sould be noted that earthquakes are natural phenomena and are subject to uncertainty, so the distribution of seismic intensity and land liquefaction potencial for individual residential areas and offices do not neccessarily match.
<Information on Tsunami>
●The estimated areas to be inundated by tsunamis are based on the Nankai Trough Mega Earthquake announced by Osaka Prefecture in August 2013. The inundation areas and depths are for promoting tsunami disaster management measures, mainly evacuation, and do not determine the extent of disaster caused by tsunamis. They are the results of calculations based on certain conditions, so uncolored areas are not absolutely safe.
<Information on Storm Surge>
●The storm surge inundation estimates show the areas in Osaka Prefecture that would be inundated (storm surger inundation estimates) and the estimated depth of inundation in the event of flooding from the coasts and the rivers caused by the largest storm surge that can be expected specified by the Flood Prevention Law along Osaka Bay Coast (within Osaka Prefecture).
<Information on inland water>
●Inundation Assumption due to inland water is a simulation-based forecast of inundation conditions in the event that public sewers, etc. are inundated by the relative maximum rainfall specified in the Flood Prevention Law planning area and parts of Tsuchimaru and Ogi area.
●The simulations do not take into account inundation caused by rivers (Mide, Sano, Kashii, and Tajiri) breaking or overflowing their banks, inundation caused by tsunamis or storm surges, and inundation caused by leaves or garbage clogging public sewers, etc.
Therefore, the flooded area and the maximum depth of inundation may be different from the actual situation.
●The colored areas are more likely to be inundated than other areas, therefore, caution should be exercised during heavy rainfall. Also, this assumed earthquake disaster area is based on calculations and does not necessarily mean that flooding will occur.
●Please note that even in areas without coloration, flooding may occur depending on how it rains.
●This flooding scenario is not to designate areas that are expected to be inundated by rainwater runoff (internal water) in accordance with the provisions of article 14-2 of the Flood Control Law.
